Thank you, everyone, for your support. You can donate either by clicking on the link on the right side of this blog and it will bring you to my donation page, or you can go to www.the3day.org and search for my name and then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the donation page and download the form to mail in a check.
I have had a ton of fun this year tracking the walks. It is so much more fun watching a Twins game when you have something to get excited about even when they are losing. If you are interested, my favorite Twin, Justin Morneau had the most walks, 55. Denard Span came in second with 43 walks, and Michael Cuddyer was tied with Joe Mauer for third with 40 walks. And OF COURSE, Delmon Young has had the fewest walks - 7.
I will continue posting until the walk occurs on Aug 21, 22 and 23. Thank you one more time! You guys are great!

Silent auction total, walking, etc.
This past weekend I went up to a cabin in lake/cabin country. It was great to get out of the city and turn my cell phone off. Literally my cell phone was in the OFF position for 2 days straight! I also walked a lot. I walked 10 miles on Saturday and 6 miles on Sunday. While that isn't that much considering I should have walked 18 on Saturday and 15 on Sunday, I wasn't in the mood to do it. I would rather spend my time on the lake catching fish, which is exactly what I did. We caught SO much fish! Man, if i could spend a week in the summer fishing I would be happy (so long as it was in the low 80s and sunny like it was this weekend). But, alas I cannot do that. Oh well.
It appears as if the Cubs are hitting more home runs now. For a long time they were stuck at 99, then now they are up to 106. So, that's good for the donation thing.
Twins walks: 373
Delmon Young walks: 7 (1% of all the walks)
Red Sox home runs: 113
Farm Team walks: 1298
Just to let everyone know, my "Walks for a Walker" program will be ending on July 31.

My Weekend
We started out going to the Jeffers Petroglyphs. Then we went to the Lower Sioux Agency and then to the Birch Coulee Battlefield. After that we ended our trip for the night near Granite Falls, MN. We stayed at a WONDERFUL bed and breakfast in Echo, MN. It was actually on a farm. We had to take 2 dirt roads through people's farms to get there. The bed and breakfast is called Aunt Betsy's bed and breakfast and is owned by two wonderful people, Barbara and Larry Scheuler. We had a whole farmhouse to ourselves and they made us a wonderful egg-bake for breakfast. Mr. and Mrs. Scheuler sat with us while Will and I ate. Then the Scheulers asked if we minded if they went to church (of course we didn't) so they told us to enjoy ourselves and take our time. Will and I took a 2 mile walk around their lake. We saw a snake, muskrats, pelicans, ducks and cranes. We saw their "calves" which were almost fully grown cows by now, too. It really was a perfect little overnight trip.
Our silent auction will be starting on Thursday so look for that!
Bar Abilene Fundraiser is on Wednesday, July 15 from 6-9p!!

Finally, A New Post
Every weekend so far I have been walking at least 12 miles on one of the days and at least 5 on the other. I do need to beef it up a bit and get at least 2 walks that are over 15 miles in before the walk in August. That means I am going to need to 15 miles the weekend of the 18th and the 25th. Anyone want to walk a part of it with me?
Well, ,Will needs to get online, which means the wireless is getting shut off. So here are the updates:
Twins walks: 309
Delmon Young walks: 6
Cubs Home Runs: 88
Red Sox Home Runs: 99
Farm Team walks (as of Friday): 1009
